Hypnotherapy works – even when everything else has failed!
Even if you’ve tried other things to resolve your issue, hypnotherapy can still work because of the way it helps you tap into the power of the subconscious mind where our emotions and memories are stored.
Studies show that the subconscious mind actually controls about 88% of everything we do, while the conscious mind controls only 12% of our behaviors and thoughts. When you can’t make a change that you want to make that is because your unconscious mind may not be aligned with your conscious desires.
Hypnosis works really fast because just as our brain can quickly learn a phobia, our brain can also learn a new response to an old situation very quickly. This is called neuroplasticity.
You can become aware of things that you have not been aware of before, and hypnosis becomes a powerful tool to help you dissolve hidden blocks to success, and find greater focus and motivation. Working together as a team, you bring your conscious desire and I help you access the unconscious mind, and together we achieve 100% success!
What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a normal and natural state of mind. Everyday states of hypnosis include being lost in thought, day dreaming, driving on the freeway and missing your exit, or being absorbed in meditation, listening to great music, watching a movie. A light state of hypnosis is achieved anytime you lose track of time and feel like you are “in the zone.”
Hypnosis is focused awareness, where you are highly receptive to positive suggestion. It is not sleep, but we have you focus on relaxation in order to help you focus. It works below the level of conscious thinking so that you can rapidly change habits, heal from past experiences, eliminate fear, and find help with many other common everyday issues.
In hypnosis you’ll be conscious and alert the whole time and will remember all the insight you gain during the session. You will be in control and able to respond the entire time. I serve as a guide or coach, working with you to understand your needs and goals, and then help you tap into your inherent power.
Hypnosis has been officially recognized by the American Medical Association since 1958 as a legitimate and safe therapeutic approach to medical and psychological problems.
Hypnotherapy can be used along with traditional psychotherapy and to assist with medical procedures for common issues including migraines, high blood pressure, IBS, weight loss, sleep issues and more. For more information visit: White Paper on Hypnosis for Common Medical Conditions.
Answers to Common Questions
What does hypnosis feel like?
Many describe the hypnotic state as a complete and total escape from physical tension and emotional stress, while remaining completely alert. You are always completely aware of everything that is going on. In fact, you may experience a hyper-awareness where visuals and sensations are enhanced. Deep relaxation and better sleep are immediate benefits, after the very first session.
What if I can’t be hypnotized?
Everyone has the ability to be hypnotized by a trained hypnotherapist. Don’t worry if you’ve tried in the past and didn’t feel you were hypnotized. Hypnosis is a tool and it’s not for everyone, but if you have an open mind and are open to the process, I can work with you. You can still be having thoughts and wonder if it’s working, and it is.
Will I be made to do something weird like cluck like a chicken?
This is a question people ask all the time, because their only experience with hypnosis was for entertainment, seeing a stage hypnosis show or a movie like “Get Out.” Therapeutic hypnosis is used for goal achievement and relaxation.
Can I get stuck in hypnosis?
No, it’s a natural state like meditation or waking up from a daydream. You’ll be aware of everything the whole time and could always open your eyes or respond whenever you want to.
NOTE: Hypnotherapists are not licensed healing arts practitioners. Some medical conditions require a doctor’s referral.
